Wisconsin State Roundup: An explanation on how same hunter could shoot two Oneida County bucks
I was more than a little surprised by the number of readers who called or emailed to ask how Rick Sievert, of Rhinelander, could shoot two Oneida County bucks with an air rifle during the gun and muzzleloader seasons.
I received 13 calls or emails regarding photos of Sievert with a Nov. 25 8-point buck in the Feb. 21 issue and a Dec. 5 12-point buck on Page 32 of the same issue. I’m a little surprised readers connected the two photos. We had three full pages of reader photos in that print issue. I read each of those captions on the three pages and did not make the connection, although I’m scanning for errors, not looking to see who shot or caught what.
