Fishermen familiar with Vilas County’s Crab Lake often call it the most beautiful lake in Wisconsin. They’ll also acknowledge that Crab can be one difficult beast to fish – primarily because of its extremely clear water.
All boaters should travel across Crab using caution until they learn the lake because of the numerous shallow rock bars and humps.
