Agencies studying fish movement on Ohio’s Great Miami River

Published: , in Outdoor News

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), the Miami Conservancy District (MCD), the Ohio DNR, and the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (OEPA), combined resources in a cooperative effort to assess fish movement through the Taylorsville Dam in the Great Miami River.
The agencies began a tagging study to see if the dam inhibits fish movement. Data collection is planned for approximately one year. Compilation of results will begin in late 2025 or early 2026.
