Legislation to create a sandhill crane hunting season in Wisconsin was introduced to the State Senate March 7 and the Assembly March 11.
The bills, 2025 Senate Bill 112 and 2025 Assembly Bill 117, are now in the Senate Committee on Financial Institutions and Sporting Heritage, chaired by Sen. Robert Stafsholt (R-New Richmond) from St. Croix County and the Assembly Committee on Sporting Heritage, chaired by Rep. Treig Pronschinske (R-Mondovi).
