New twists emerge in Pennsylvania case involving pet deer that was confiscated

With a sharp rebuke to the Pennsylvania Game Commission, Fayette County District Attorney Mike Aubele withdrew all charges against a Connellsville woman forced to give up the pet deer she named Baby – but the story has not ended there.

While Tammy Shiery, 64, of Bullskin Township, no longer faces misdemeanor counts of resisting arrest, obstructing the administration of law or other government function, or disorderly conduct, or a summary count of unlawful taking of game, she has vowed “to move mountains” to get Baby back.
