Anglers and other travelers to Canadian provinces who were fretting at the prospect of delays and added costs upon reaching border crossings, can, for now, breathe easier.
On Thursday, March 27, Ontario resorters and tourism groups announced that additional tariffs – 25% – on “consumables” for the most part will not be in play.
“Basically, nothing is going to change (from past rules pertaining to entry to Canada),” said Laurie Marcil, executive director of Nature and Outdoor Tourism Ontario, in North Bay. “It’s super news.”
