Dan Ladd: March ice-fishing trip to New York’s Fulton County better late than never

Here it is early April, and I’m looking back a month to early March, which found me doing something I typically do around the Christmas holiday: getting my ice fishing gear in order.
Actually, I had rounded up everything right after deer season ended and once New York’s holiday-week hunt was over I began to get excited in late January as my favorite lakes began to button up. But things went awry in February thanks to social events and recurring Sunday snowstorms that kept this weekend warrior angler off the ice.
