Report says Pennsylvania lags behind in corridors for wildlife

Citing habitat loss and fragmentation as the number one threat to Pennsylvania wildlife, conservationists are calling on elected officials to prioritize the creation of wildlife corridors across the state.
In a newly released report, Wildlife Corridors: How Reconnecting Habitat Is Protecting Pennsylvania’s Native Species, the non-profit PennEnvironment describes how development and road construction are impacting species ranging from brook trout to black bears and outlines innovative ways to improve connectivity.
