While generally satisfied with the process by which the DNR acquires land in Minnesota and which lands are acquired, so-called stakeholders – landowners, partner groups, local officials, and DNR staffers themselves – often are frustrated by the time it takes for such acquisitions to be complete.
Meanwhile, the DNR’s reporting of public land inventory and annual transactions leaves something to be desired.
