New offering by Columbus Zoo highlights conservation efforts for more ‘secretive’ species

The Ohio Center for Wildlife Conservation will officially open its doors to Columbus Zoo guests as part of the all-new North America Trek region in late May, 2025. Officials are excited to bring the public closer to the local conservation initiatives spearheaded by the Columbus Zoo and The Wilds.
In a cooperative effort with the Ohio DNR Division of Wildlife, the focus is on our more secretive species, those that often live near us and we may know little about.
