Kayaking for carp is the kind of adventure that’s habit forming

Sitting in the kayak and just allowing the current to carry me on this fine afternoon, I was hoping my mesmerizing moment would be interrupted by something on the other end of my line. Typical of the summer action on this stream, it had been slow.
The normal catches of smallmouth bass, fallfish, rock bass and even bluegills were far and few between. When the small crayfish jig hit the water on my next cast, things went way different in a hurry.
