Summer is dog-training time. The weather is the best it’ll be all year, and you’re only a couple of months out of from early upland and waterfowl seasons. So, you load up some bumpers, maybe a “place” board or a check cord, and you head to the local park with the best of intentions.
For whatever reason, once you get there, your dog just isn’t interested. This is a common but extremely frustrating situation. It’s easy to just assume your dog is being stubborn or disobedient for the sake of it, but that might not be the case.
