The Ohio DNR (ODNR) Division of Wildlife released around 217,000 saugeyes into Grand Lake St. Marys for the first time on May 21. Saugeyes are fast-growing and popular sport fish that are well suited for Ohio’s reservoirs, because they are tolerant of warm and shallow waters, according to the Division of Wildlife.
