The condensed lives of hunting dogs are constant reminders of passing seasons. How quickly we go from messing with a fresh puppy to following a prime-age flusher in the field to coddling an old-timer in the house. It happens fast, but when the years catch up to your four-legged buddy, you don’t need to totally throw in the training towel.
