There is a new public archery park in central Illinois that has bowhunters and archers excited about improving their skills in a natural outdoors setting.
The Lake Shelbyville Archery Park held a grand opening in mid-May. The park is the result of partnerships between the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Illinois Chapter of the Backcountry Hunters and Anglers (BHA), in collaboration with the Lake Shelbyville Youth ambassadors and the Illinois Scholastic 3-D Archery.
