Crab Orchard Refuge in Illinois provides update on Little Grassy Lake drawdown

Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge Manager Justin Sexton led a presentation to a crowd of more than 50 people, during which the cause of Little Grassy Lake’s drawdown and progress toward solutions was established.
Little Grassy Lake is draining at roughly one foot per day, with fluctuations for weather. It is still accessible for activities such as fishing and kayaking, although it now requires users to carry their equipment down to the lake.
