Northwest Angle island resort ownership stays in the family

On Oak Island, a Northwest Angle island on Lake of the Woods on the edge of the Canadian border, two brothers, Garrett and Wyatt Hennum, have taken over the family business at Sportsman’s Oak Island Lodge.
With the pair taking over the lodge around this year’s Minnesota fishing opener, it marks the third generation of Hennums to oversee and manage the lodge since 1985.
