What Michigan steelhead experts know is how little they know about parts of the life-cycle of these migratory rainbow trout, and they’re mapping ways to fix that.
DNR Lake Michigan Basin Fisheries Coordinator Jay Wesley, Michigan Trout Unlimited’s Brian Burroughs, and former Natural Resources Commission member David Cozad briefed the commission, which oversees DNR policies and programs, on research sifted and compiled by the Steelhead Task Group.
