Little did he know that one of the last assignments in Montgomery County Wildlife Officer Trent Weaver’s career would be one of the most rewarding.
Weaver in May was chosen to represent the Ohio Division of Wildlife in Washington, D.C., to honor late Montgomery County Wildlife Officer Harvey Monbeck. In 1927, Monbeck had been the game warden in the county for eight years when he was called to a poaching investigation south of Dayton.
