Wisconsin’s Estabrook Falls project clears the way for sturgeon spawning

A fish passage around Estabrook Falls in Estabrook Park on Milwaukee County’s east side is under construction and should be complete by the end of September.
When it is finished, sturgeon in Lake Michigan will have a viable path to swim upstream in the Milwaukee River to reach suitable spawning habitat for the first time in more than 170 years.
