New York trappers could see expanded fisher, marten seasons

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation recently announced proposals to adjust fisher and marten trapping seasons across most of the state.
The proposals include opening a six-day fisher trapping season in several western and central New York Wildlife Management Units currently closed to fisher trapping, and expanding upon a season in several other Southern Tier WMUs.
