Illinois research looks at bass life in livewells

An important element of any bass fisherman’s tournament strategy has always been finding ways to keep fish alive.
Livewells are called livewells for a reason. University of Illinois Professor Cory Suski and former master’s student Allison Hay studied the effect of live well temperature variation on largemouth bass health and recovery time during tournaments, and shared their results.
