Pennsylvania’s hunting license sales lag in early stages

Pennsylvania hunters weren’t in a hurry to buy their antlerless licenses during the first round this year, and they apparently weren’t in a rush to get their hunting licenses as well.
With a record 1.3 million antlerless licenses allocated this year, the Pennsylvania Game Commission guaranteed resident hunters a doe tag in the wildlife management unit of their choice for the first round. By the time the first round ended on July 14, not one unit had sold out and most had plenty of tags remaining.
