Cormorant concerns rise on New York’s Lake George

Joe Greco, a longtime charter boat captain on Lake George, frequently sees them lurking on several of the lake’s islands, waiting to gobble the sportfish that Greco and his clients are chasing – double-crested cormorants, a fish-eating bird that has raised concerns on Lake George and other Adirondack lakes in recent years.
A decade or so ago, cormorants were rare on Lake George.
