Mound City Council rejects lake improvement district on Minnesota’s Lake Minnetonka
Published: , in Outdoor News
After hours of public comments, the Mound City Council denied a request for Harrisons Bay to create a lake improvement district (LID) on Lake Minnetonka.
The decision was primarily the result of the council not wanting to impose additional taxes on Harrisons Bay residents, especially those who oppose the formation of the improvement district. Despite public comments worried about the fishery’s health due to the chemical treatment, those issues weren’t a primary reason for the denial.
