The Pennsylvania Game Commission has launched a new program in the southwest region designed to connect farmers with hunters who have been vetted by the agency.
A pilot version of the Certified Hunter Program began on Aug. 1 on approximately 40 farms in the southwest part of the state. Hunters enrolled in the program must pass a variety of tests to become certified, including scoring at least 85% in a written exam and a proficiency test at a shooting range.
