Michigan waterfowl numbers appear down from 2024

Locally produced duck and goose numbers were both down this spring in Michigan and those effects are likely to be felt by waterfowl hunters this fall. Biologists, however, believe the early teal season and goose hunting should both be pretty solid.
Waterfowl hunting begins Sept. 1 with the start of goose and early teal seasons.
