Fishers possibly reproducing in northeast Ohio as more animals are spotted

Bald eagles, bobcats, and black bears are not the only wildlife species making a comeback in Ohio. The fisher, a furry cousin of the weasel, is also reappearing in a handful of northeast counties.
Fishers are about the size of a house cat with a tail that can be two feet long, according to published reports. They were extirpated from Ohio nearly 200 years ago but appear to be coming back as the state grows more forested.
