Steve Carney: Considerations for early duck hunting in Minnesota

I’m optimistic about Minnesota’s upcoming waterfowl opener, Sept. 27. The duck situation, numbers-wise, seems similar to last season, which was, in my opinion, a mediocre season at best. Most noticeable was the lack of wood ducks and teal.
Here are my thoughts as we head into the first week of the duck season.
