Need extreme taxidermy fix? Go visit Wisconsin’s John Balfanz
Published: , in Outdoor News
John Balfanz’s rural Prairie du Sac home in Wisconsin is filled from top to bottom with “entaxied” animal mounts. There are shoulder and euro mounts of white-tailed deer. There are turkey tailfeathers and beards. There are moose antlers, snake skins, a stuffed badger, pheasant, crow, bear, and more.
Some are handed down from Balfanz’s father, who enjoyed taxidermy for years. Many were done by Balfanz himself, who took up the hobby after his father passed away.
