As a bowhunter, I’m always on the prowl for new bowhunting locations. It’s like sales: Always be closing. I recently scored a new spot at a landscaping business that has had problems with deer damaging young trees and shrubs. I happily volunteered to help out.
It’s funny. I was buying a few trees for replanting and just happened to ask for permission to hunt, and we worked it out. I’m excited, but you never know what you’re getting into on a new property.
