Ohio angler on breaking 32-year-old state striper record while fishing for panfish — ‘did we really just do this?’

It’s been many years since Kiser Lake, a small impoundment in Champaign County, has been stocked with striped bass (not hybrids), but Kiser has produced Ohio’s newest state fishing record.
And it may be a while before this record is broken again. After all, the previous record stood for 32 years. The new state record striper was caught by George Bruggeman of New Carlisle, Ohio.
