The Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission board has given final approval to a controversial plan to stock and study a Class A Wild Trout Water in Potter County, despite opposition from former fisheries officials and others.
At their fall board meeting, the commissioners approved, by a vote of 8-2, an exemption that allows for the stocking of rainbow trout in Freeman Run, section 04. They also approved a change in fishing regulations on the three-mile stretch.
