Ohio’s Sandusky River gets initial lake sturgeon stocking

As light rain fell on the morning of Oct. 15, about 95 people gathered in Fremont, Ohio, to witness the first-ever stocking of lake sturgeon into the Sandusky River, a fish with a family tree dating back 200 million years to the Jurassic Period.
