USFWS halts ongoing national wolf recovery plan; what’s it mean for potential delisting?

In February 2024, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announced it would pursue a national gray wolf recovery plan for the species currently protected under the Endangered Species Act across much of the nation, including in Minnesota. The plan, the USFWS said in release nearly two years ago, would be completed in December 2025.
