Government shutdown ends, without staff cuts

After President Donald Trump signed a funding bill that ended a 43-day federal government shutdown on Nov. 12, hundreds of workers returned to their jobs across Minnesota, including conservation employees who’d been placed on furlough by Pheasants Forever and other groups.
“When the government’s shut down, everything is shut down including program payments and conservation, technical assistance,” said Jared Wiklund, Pheasants Forever/Quail Forever director of communications.
