Late-season pheasants are fun to hunt, but be careful out there with your dogs

There’s nothing quite like the explosion of a rooster out of a snow-covered patch of sawgrass and cattails. It’s the promise of that moment that keeps the hardiest of upland hunters out and active until the closing bell.
While late-season pheasant hunting can be productive and is often rewarding, it can also be dangerous for our dogs.
