Joe Stangel takes reins of management for Minnesota’s southern region wildlife

No one had to give Joe Stangel a tour of the office when his new gig as the Minnesota DNR’s southern region wildlife manager position was made official in September.
For the year prior, Stangel, a DNR employee for the past 18 years, was the acting regional wildlife manager when former manager Dave Trauba took the helm as the department’s Wildlife Section manager. And for seven years before that, Stangel served as Trauba’s No. 2 at the southern region headquarters in New Ulm.
