School teachers who love to hunt receive the bulk of their vacation days during the wrong time of year. Sure, summers are nice for travel and recalibration, but they pale in comparison to spending time in a deer stand come November and December.
As an elementary STEM teacher by trade, I absolutely love my profession and the difference I get to make in young lives – but the limit of three personal days per school year can seem a bit skimpy when prime hunting opportunities compete with classroom duties.
