It was a foggy, drizzly-smeary kind of day, 50-ish by afternoon, unseasonably mild for the day after Christmas. Perfect time for a winter hike.
Shelly and Mark Goodman, veteran hikers and nature fans from Columbus, Ohio, had laid down an invitation for a no-matter-the-weather hike at the lovely, undulating woodlands of Highbanks Metropark north of the sprawling, noisy metropolis.
