New five-year plan focuses on lake trout, salmon, black bass in New York’s popular Lake George

The Queen of American Lakes, as Lake George is known, is about to undergo a five-year assessment of its lake trout, black bass and salmon populations that could eventually change the way these and their forage species are managed in the 32-mile long lake in the southeastern Adirondacks.
On Jan. 12 the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation announced the release of the plan, which will focus on collecting data.
