My grandfather looked like Elvis Presley, if Elvis Presley had a mustache and fondness for wearing Johnson wool. He spoke slowly, often with a pipe dangling from the corner of his mouth.
He had the fiery temper of an Italian, but not with me. He was an old-school type of gentleman that did not use swear words in front of the ladies. We both loved reading, writing, and beagles.
