Two sportsmen’s clubs in Pennsylvania with long history of feeding deer in winter told to stop

The Cross Fork Sportsmen’s Association has been feeding corn to deer during the winter months for 65 years.
Although feeding deer or any wildlife is not encouraged by the Pennsylvania Game Commission, it is still legal to feed deer unless you live in one of the designated Disease Management Areas that have been established in response to chronic wasting disease. There has been no CWD detected in the area of the Cross Fork club. However, it is illegal to feed elk or black bears, and that is where the controversy begins.
