Minnesota’s Conservation Partners Legacy program supports local restoration work

In recent years, the South St. Louis County Soil and Water Conservation District has received funding through the DNR’s Conservation Partners Legacy (CPL) Grant Program for various waterway improvement projects.
Some of them have focused on improving fish passage in Tischer Creek and the Talmadge River.
“Tischer Creek, it has the potential to be one of the highest quality urban brook trout streams in the nation,” said Tim Beaster, conservation specialist with the South St. Louis County SWCD.
