Sick deer tests positive for CWD in Minnesota Deer Permit Area 604
Published: , in Outdoor News
In December, someone reported a sick deer in Minnesota’s Deer Permit Area 604, around Brainerd and Crosslake in Crow Wing County. The animal eventually tested positive for chronic wasting disease.
DPA 604 almost made it three consecutive years with zero CWD positive cases reported, which could have qualified for the area to be removed as a CWD management zone.
