Iron County bear among oldest ever harvested in Michigan

A half-mount of an average-looking adult black bear was just added to the walls of Luckey’s Sport Shop in Iron River, Mich.
But the story behind that mount is far from average. The adult female bear shot by local resident Kevin Adams was 27 years old, making it one of the oldest bears bagged in Michigan during the past two decades.
