Wisconsin’s sandhill crane hunt bill goes to Senate, while competing wake boat bills put on hold

A bill to enact a Wisconsin sandhill crane season passed by voice vote in the State Assembly on
Feb. 19 and moves on to the State Senate for consideration, while two bills addressing wake boat operation died. 
It was a hectic and unpredictable day in the Assembly and Senate as a bill to create a sandhill crane season and bills regarding wake boat regulations – one favoring industry and one favoring local control – were debated and voted on.
