Jeffrey Frischkorn: This firearm made a recent hog hunt more special

The boar was not so big, though hardly a (formerly) squealing little piglet. Not by Florida wild hog hunting standards.
At maybe 100 pounds, the boar thus fell under the unofficial heading of being called a “meat hog.” Just a wee bit heavier than average perhaps, but a meat hog just the same. I’ve taken my share of heavyweight hogs and not just in Florida where I hunt such critters but in Texas, also. And my largest boar to-date came a few years ago in east Tennessee’s Smoky Mountains.
