Imagine my surprise recently when reviewing overnight trail-cam photos, that a handsome little 6-point buck showed up several times near my mineral licks. A rack, still, in early March?
Late-shedding bucks, and this “sixer” clearly is one, always catch my attention. After all, we “know” that most Ohio bucks shed their racks in these latitudes in late December and January or sometimes into February. And we “know” that bucks usually shed or cast their antlers about the same time every year. But this late?
