Minnesota study detects PFAS in deer liver, muscle tissue

From 2021 to 2023, the Minnesota DNR, Minnesota Department of Health, and the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency tested white-tailed deer that live on or around sites with possible PFAS contaminants to discover if so-called “forever chemicals” might be found in muscle and liver tissue.
Both types of tissues were found to have varying levels of the environmental contaminant.
